As it is written:

"There is no one righteous, not even one..." [Romans 3:10]

For ALL have SINNED and fall short of the Glory of God...[Romans 3:23]
For the wages of SIN is DEATH. [Romans 6:23]

Wait a second -- this doesn't sound like good news to me...?

We know. It gets worse before it gets better. Read on.

This is saying that if I sin, I'm going to die!

Worse than that! We are all going to die. This is talking about "Spiritual and Eternal" death, a living death, separated from God forever in a place called Hell. But now, The Good News!

...But the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord. [Romans 6:23]

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were STILL SINNERS, Christ DIED for us. [Romans 5:8]

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that WHOEVER BELIEVES in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life. [John 3:16]

Isn't that Great News! We can have eternal life!

Yeah, but what do I have to do to get it?

You really don't have to DO anything. Simply believe and receive the GIFT God has for you.

Yet to ALL that received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. [John 1:12]

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [Romans 10:9]

For it is by Grace that you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. [Ephesians 2:8-9]
